About Roast My Web

Website audits that show you what to fix

Roast My Web is a self-service website audit product maintained by Jera Value. It reviews one public page at a time and turns screenshots and page signals into a report you can edit and share.

Most audits finish in about 2 minutes.

What Roast My Web is

An AI reviewer for one public web page at a time. It turns screenshots and available page signals into a report you can edit before deciding what to change.

A screenshot alone does not explain what to fix. A technical export does not show how the page reads to a visitor. Roast My Web puts visual findings, available page signals, and recommended next steps in one report.

  • One page per audit

Every audit covers a single public URL you choose. It reviews that page, and it does not crawl the rest of the site.

  • It reads what a visitor sees

Desktop and mobile renders of the page, plus on-page SEO, link, performance, and search data when those sources respond.

  • The report is yours to edit

Category scores, findings, screenshots, and recommended actions land in a report you can rewrite and rebrand before you share it.

What the product does

Four steps from a submitted URL to an editable report. Most audits finish in about 2 minutes.

  1. Step 01

    You submit one public URL

Pick the page you care about, choose its page type, and add any context the reviewer should know.

  2. Step 02

    Roast My Web captures it

It renders the page, takes full desktop and mobile screenshots, and collects whatever page and search signals are available.

  3. Step 03

    The AI reviews the evidence

It reads the screenshots section by section and as a whole, then labels each finding by importance and how hard it is to fix.

  4. Step 04

    You get an editable report

Change the wording, drop findings that do not apply, add your logo and colors, then share a link or a PDF.

The review covers these categories:

  • Design and aestheticsHierarchy, consistency, legibility, imagery.
  • User experienceNavigation, comprehension, forms, friction.
  • Originality and creativityDistinctive choices against generic patterns.
  • Content and copyClarity, structure, specificity, evidence.
  • ConversionOffer, calls to action, proof, objections.
  • MobileLayout, tap targets, content order.
  • SEO and performance evidenceMetadata, indexability, links, speed fields.

The audit methodology lists the evidence each audit collects, explains how a category score moves, and says what a score does not mean.

What it does not do

The honest list, so you know before you pay whether this is the right tool for the job.

It does not crawl your whole site

One audit reviews one URL. Auditing ten pages means running ten audits.

It is not a rank tracker

The report can include search context and backlink data, but the product does not monitor rankings or research link building.

It does not see your visitors

There is no analytics, session, or user-research data behind the findings. Check them against what your own numbers say.

It is not an accessibility certification

Accessibility notes are a first pass. They are not a legal compliance determination.

It cannot read gated pages

Login walls, bot protection, consent screens, and content that loads late can change what the audit is able to review.

The AI can be wrong

Findings can be incomplete or mistaken. Read the evidence before you ship a change or send a report to a client.

While I was launching Read Stats I kept changing the landing page without ever knowing whether I was improving it or breaking it. I had no real command of conversion, SEO, design, or UX, and a human roast cost around 300 euros, which I could not justify at the time.

Roast My Web is what I wanted back then: an affordable first pass before deciding whether to pay for specialist help. It does not replace an expert, but it gives you a concrete list of findings to challenge and prioritize.

I still write the audit prompts, the scoring rules, and the report templates, and I answer the support email. If Roast My Web tells you something wrong about your page, tell me and I will investigate it.

How to reach me

The four things people write in about, and what happens when they do.

A finding is wrong.
Send me the report link and name the finding. I use confirmed mistakes to improve later audits.
The audit failed or stalled.
Email the URL you submitted. Login walls, bot protection, consent screens, and content that loads late can all stop the capture.
I want a refund.
Email me within 30 days of your first purchase. Eligibility and usage limits are explained in the terms of service.
